- Groovin' on a Sunday, NYC's longrunning variety show, returns to 53 Above with the first of 2 shows celebrating NYC Pride. A benefit for the Hetrick-Martin Institute for LGBTQ Youth, this show features special guests such as Sue Matsuki and Ira Lee Collings, as well as Ann McCormack, Woody Regan, and the Groovin' gang.

- The Exuberants Improv Comedy troupe are UCB and Theatresports-trained actors who present two high-octane fully improvised comedy shows in rep: "The Movies--Improvised!" and "Your Life--Improvised!" The troupe performs every Sunday at 6pm at the Broadway Comedy Club. They also tour to other venues and do private shows to help people celebrate any occasion. In addition, the service-oriented company tours shows each month to senior centers and other communities who have difficulty getting to live theatre. The Movies–Improvised! Get in the Show! If you’re like us, you’ve always dreamed of making movies, but a major film project could take years to produce and cost millions of dollars, leaving the director’s chair, sadly, out of your reach. But now, with the help of improv, that’s all about to change. Using just a small group of actors and audience suggestions, we make a hilarious, brand new, never-before-seen movie every night. Audiences love it because their suggestions inspire the show and if they’re celebrating something like a birthday or bachelorette party, the guest of honor gets a cameo onstage! Each night our 5-actor troupe performs in front of a live audience, we play movie-themed improv games leading up to the creation of a brand new, never-before-seen 30-minute movie based on suggestions from the audience. The result is hilarity and jaw-dropping artistry. AND Your Life–Improvised!
